Internet service providers (ISPs)

There are two ISPs connected to the house. One is a the Starlink satellite connection and the other is Primo woireless, a landbased wireless connection.

Starlink

Starlink is a satellite internet service provided by SpaceX. This is the main internet connection for the house. The connection is 150Mbps download and 20Mbps upload. The connection is not always available due to the satellite constellation not being complete.

Primo Wireless

Primo Wireless is a local wireless ISP in the Taranaki region. They provide a wireless connection to the internet via a small dish on the roof of the house. The dish is pointed at a tower on the hill at Wai-iti and the connection is line of sight. The connection is 40Mbps download and 20Mbps upload. This connection is used as tyhe failover connection when the Starlink connection and the server uses this connection for its VPN connection.
